Create a 1TB concat metalun on VMAX

Question

Hello,

I need to create a 1TB concatenated metalun on my VMAX. Do I need to stay with even number of meta-members as on DMX or can I use odds.

Can I create a meta of 5 X 200GB members or do I need to stay with a 6 X 166GB config?

Also,

How do I find the total number of cylinders before dividing into members.

Is it 1.066 cyl = 1MB. So 1066000 = 1TB?

You can create a meta with and odd number of members.

Table 6 on page 44 of the SE Array Controls product guide has the cyls to MB calculation...

1 cylinder = 15 tracks; each track is 64 KB

15 x 64 tracks = .937 MB for each cylinder.

Note the maximum meta member size is around 240GB.
