Best thing to do here is find out from Server Team which lun is affected, check for errors on the host,

What do they mean by disconnected?, is it going write disabled, or is it loosing a path?

Is there only one device affected or is it muliple?,

Does the symptom occur at a specific time?

An EMC grab should be gathered and run through ELAB advisor, you may want to open up a case with support with a clear problem description, we'll be more than happy to have a look

Can you provide some details so that we can help you debug your problem?  Do you see anything in the logs on the Symmetrix?  Do they have any messages from the Windows Event Log or syslog on the server?

its a very open statement....you need to narrow it down..It could be a switch port issue, could be the hba, it can also be the storage issue or the problem with multipathing software on the host...

I can tell you from my experience, server team never accepts it was the host issue

Dicconnected means Disk i/o errors.

I have opened EMC case and uploaded switch logs

Albeit rare,  Do you see anything on the fiber channel switch ports connected to the front end ports.     I have seen where they don't actually go physically down but will receive an OLS message and logically reset.

Yeah its a long shot, but another thing to check.

I have checked on the port everything is good. There were some dead paths on the server after removing everything is good. We are not getting any issues now.
