Disk Firmware version in EMC VMAX
Hi Experts,
can anyone help me with the command to get disks firmware in EMC Symmetrix/VMAX with sample output? I am not able to find it using symdisk command.

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Product Revision is not the same as the disk's Firmware. Product Revision is a vendor specific code. The Symmetrix code uses it internally to identify a drive in a performance database table that lists the disk's performance characteristics like read and write responses.
As Fenglin has stated above, we do not currently publish the disk's Firmware to the SW. That information is kept internally on the Symmetrix. To the best of my knowledge, this is one of the first times there has been a direct demand to know this, or show this about a particular drive.

You can't see the disk firmware through SYMCLI command. BTW, why do you need to get this?

Isnt the product revision in the below output is also the Firmware version?

Thanks Everybody for your help. I read somewhere, that we cannot get firmware version of Symmetrix/VMAX disks but i was interested in a cross check.
