Expanding SRDF/A Concat Meta
Hi Admins,
Am trying to expand a SRDF/A Concat meta with an additional 100 Gigs. I have disabled consistency and also suspended the RDF group. But While expanding the device, am getting the following error:

META devices can not be created with RDF devices, nor be altered if later converted to RDF META devices

Am I missing any step here ? Also would this activity require a downtime ?

if u are expanding R1 or R2 meta, you need to delete the pair using symrdf deletepair command and then expand the meta on both sides (i.e, r1 and r2) and create the pair using symrdf createpair.
the downside is that your production will be without R2 protection while you are performing the activity and during the full establish.

Thanks Surabh. I exactly did the same and was able to expand the device.
Will re-establish the SRDF sessions shortly.

Procedure to expand a dynamic SRDF striped meta online.
check out this, Its for striped though, you can change the expand procedure for concat meta and rest remains the same.
