FAST-VP : Stat collection on Pinned Devices
This may be a repeat question.
Does FAST-VP still collect data on pinned devices and apply those stats when device become un-pinned.

ok , took a while to get this confirmed ... yes while a device is pinned,
performance statistics will continue to be collected for that device. all pinning will do is prevent FAST from moving extents for that device and this means that all new wirte allocations will be written to where ever the tdev is bound
after unpinning it may take some time to catch up but it will move the data if needed

Thanks for the reply...
I know it wont move the data because of the PINNING. I want to know if Statistics are still collected while a device is pinned.

Hi ,
If the device are in pinned state there will be no data movement for that device , The FAST controller
will not move devices (or data from devices) that are pinned, even if the device is under FAST control.

Yes, Pinning wont stop the enginuity from collecting the STATS.
