Symevent command does not display failed disks
Hello,
If I log into SMC or I use the symdisk command I can see a failed disk on my array. I do not see this disk failure when I run the symevent command. What do I need to do to see ALL events in the symevent command.
thanks.

I don't.
I had a disk fail and replaced recently, no disk problems show up since the beggining of the year when I run the command below. The majority of the errors are SRDF.
C:\> symevent -sid 0000 list
This command showed the failed disk.I can no longer test this since the disk has been replaced.
C:\>symdisk -sid 0000 list -failed

If the replaced drive was a Not Ready Spare drive, it will not be listed in the symdisk -failed command. But a failed data drive must be listed there AFAIK.

Is there any way to list down failed Not Ready spare drive from symcli ?
Also i would like to know "is there any way to check which spare disk is invoked against a failed disk(assume failed drive was not a spare drive) ?"

Hi, buddy
You can use "symdisk list -v -spare_info". if you could see any hypers attatch to any spare_disk ,. then one disk could be failed.
