Symmigrate from TDEV to meta-TDEV in the same pool
Can anyone give me advice on how you would use symmigrate to migrate
from a TDEV to a meta-TDEV in the same pool? Also, I'm looking to do this
non-disruptively to the host. Is this possible?

why not create a meta device ?

Symmigrate will not migrate data from one tdev to another tdev (meta or non meta). Symmigrate migrates the data from one thin pool to another.

Hi Will.
Is your goal to nondisruptively convert a single TDEV into a meta? If so, you can perform an online conversion from the single TDEV into a concat TDEV meta, and then optionally convert that concat meta into a striped meta.
Converting a single TDEV into a concat meta TDEV online requires 5875.198 code and Solutions Enabler 7.2 or later. I believe it can also be done with SMC. The procedure is the same as forming a concat meta offline (e.g. "form meta from dev xxx config=concatentated, count=3"); you just don't have to unmap the production TDEV prior to forming the meta. You'll need to have unbound TDEVs of the same size as the prod TDEV in order to add them as members.
