symstat SRDF QLen value
Hi
I was looking to see if anyone had more detail on the QLen on the SRDF output from symstat.
RDF Group Level I/O Statistics:
GRP IO/sec MB/sec % Hits IO Service Time (usec) Q
16:34:09 READ WRITE READ WRITE RD Min Max Avg Len
16:34:18 12 0 2202 0 19 0 0 6570574 1009 3
16:34:24 12 0 2198 0 19 0 0 6570574 1017 6
16:34:30 12 0 1935 0 17 0 0 6570574 1008 5
Can someone advise if there is a STP equivalent to this? or what would be deemed high? I would assume the larger the Q the higher the latency seen by the host.
Cheers
Al

Normally it does. Queue Length > 1 means the I/O is queued and can't be completed quickly which cause the wait time is up and increase the response time. In your case, checking the RDF link and RDF director utilization might be help for breaking down the issue.
