VMAX 40K support matrix for Unisys Libra

Hello,

We are planning to sell a VMAX 40K to customer. Their hosts are Unisys Libra(585 and 890), OS is MCP 54 or above. I cannot find the connectivity from Unisys Libra to VMAX 40K is approved in the latest suppot matrix or E-Lab. Can anyone tell me where to get an official document to prove it is supported?

Hi,

Unisys have some internal support matrix doc that you may be able to acquire via you’re local support contacts. These are the ones we (Unisys) use for all mainframe connectivity.

From a quick look the 585 is EOSL so no longer listed, the 890 would be supported on MCP 55.1, 56.1 and 57.1 on VMAX 40K (5876.268.174, 5876.251.161).

If you intend to use switches there’s a separate doc that covers brocade support and FOS levels. I’m currently working on a site that has an 890 attached to 40k if you need port flag level detail.

Hi Chris,

Thanks a lot! It's useful! I'll contact the Unisys engineer I know and try to get such documents. But it would be better if someone can tell me where to get the support matrix or any proof from EMC, even without 585.

Thanks again!
