VMAX FA proc % busy doesnt add up
I am looking at the HEAT map for a VMAX and it is showing two FA processors at 80% busy and when I open it up to show both ports they dont match up. The overall busy is running right around 80% however port 0 is showing 14% and port 1 2-4% busy. The data chart is at the default which is to show the average for the time.

The port utilization is looking at the available pipe bandwidth, not CPU usage. Your CPU could be 100% busy doing 512 byte IOs, while the 8gb pipe (up to 800 MB/sec) could just be doing a small amount of MBs/sec, so the ports will show low utilization.
