VMAX Storage
Hello All,
Could you let me know if we use SAN or NAS for VMAX or it comes with its own internal storage like Centera.
Thanks in advance

VMAX is block storage, but if you want to use file on VMAX you can put a file head in front of it.

Thank you CodyHosterman
Suppose, I am storing content to VMAX from an ECM platform say FileNet and after 2 years I want to move the content from VMAX (Where content was intially stored) to another storage area in EMC Centera.
In the above case, can we manage the content move from FileNet or VMAX FAST Policy can take care of it i.e. moving the content from VMAX to Centera.
Thanks in advance

no, you will need to rely on migration tools. VMAX is block storage while Centera is object based storage.
