VMAX TDEV unbind is taking lot of time
Hello Admins,
I have a 16 GB TDEV which am trying to unbind and it has been 30 mins now and the device is still in unbinding state. The COMMIT operation runs fine but as I check on the unbind status, it shows unbinding.

What could be the reason behind this. I have almost 20 devices which I have to unbind from the same pool.
Thanks in advance.

Unbinding releases the blocks / pointers occupied by the device is being unbinded. So, it would take time to clear them.
You can run the unbinding together which is a backend task and the array ensures the resource allocation.
