SnapView and SRM
Is there any use case where snapshots made with SnapView come into play in an SRM context?
The question comes from a customer who is considering MirrorView/S for remote replication, and SnapView for snaps to be taken locally, and in remote (target) array.
Would SRM effectively use snaps on either the source or target array?
As said, during an execution of a SRM recovery plan, SnapView is not used.

SnapView is used during a test failover on the target and allows for the test to complete without stopping replication. A test failover will actually mount the VMware LUN as a preconfigured SnapView device and a session that started at the beginning of the test. Once the test is complete the SnapView device will be unmounted from the target cluster and the session will stop. The release notes describe how to configure the SnapView device/LUN to be useable in a testing scenario.
