Cannot access Unisphere after VNX5300 Install
I initialized a VNX5300 and cannot access Unisphere. The browser just sits at the "starting services..." screen. Any advice?

How did you initialize your system? If you have a unified (block + file) system, did you use VNX Installation Assistant for assigning IP addresses to the system?

I initialized it with VIA. I can ping everything. I just cannot access Unisphere. The CS can be reached via SSH.

I also have the same issue.
I also have the issue where VIA wont recognise the sysadmin password

@Rainer_EMC: Tried that. Didn't work. Slightly offended that you even suggested it. I have installed a VNX5300 before.
Found a solution through EMC support. Apparently during installation, The CS(s) had not been added to the domain for authentication. There is a fix for it. It is found in Primus Article emc264129.
You essentially run some commands listed in the article to manually "fuse" the block and file together. This allows authentication between and thus access to Unisphere.

Try sysadmin / sysadmin

I doubt Rainer_EMC meant any offence, Rainer is on the forum constantly providing extremely useful and helpful information, and that very issue of not using the correctly login has popped up more than once.
as you know when troubleshooting you have to start somehwere usually with the basics
good to hear you got your system up and running :-) hopefully you won't have any more issues

Oh no no. I meant that as a joke. I meant to put a smiley after the offended statement. My apologies.

@Rainer_EMC - ive tried that also, along with many possible mistyped conitations.
I will take a look at the Primus Article that @galkun mentioned, else i have EMC support onsite tomorrow as we have issue with the second CS.

Hi All,
EMC onsite support ended up booting our 5300 directly to version 7.0.14 and rebuilding it on this code.
7.0.12 is full of unresolved bugs and the faster you can get off it, the better according to my EMC onsite support guy.

hi, if the VNX is ok, then it could be something with java...uninstall/reinstall to a version 1.7rev17, sometime you need to have 1.6rev43 installed too...

Hi,
Was it working previously? What browser are you using? What version of Java and Unisphere? Did anything get updated?

Hi, same Problem here.
i installed Java 1.5, 1.6, 1.6_45 and 1.7_17
i tried them step by step solo and combined.
Connecting to Webinterface with IE11 on Win10.
Login works, after that it only shows "starting services"
what can i do ?
