Fault: Bus 1 Enclosure 0 : Missing

Question

Hi all, I have a VNX 5300 that I'm looking to resurrect for a lab environment. First I would like to upgrade the block firmware, however, after physically relocating the hardware to a different DC, I have a fault preventing me from doing the upgrade. The fault is: Disk Array Enclosure (Bus 1 Enclosure 0) is faulted. Servers may have lost access to disk drives in this enclosure. If I click onto that bus and generate a fault status report I get: Bus 1 Enclosure 0 : Missing Now, this is true because I only have one DAE connected to the DPE on bus 0. Since I only have the one DAE, how can I clear the fault for the bus that isn't in use? I've tried connecting it to the other bus and restarting the system but I get the same error, only on bus 0 instead. I'm a little raw with my storage terminology, so apologies if I haven't explained my problem clearly. This is a non-production unit without a maintenance agreement so contacting support isn't an option, unfortunately. Thanks Gary

I managed to get it working. I changed it back to bus 1 and powered off the DPE and DAE. Then turned on the DPE and waited for that to come online, then powered on the DAE and the faults were cleared.
