How to initialize and configure VNX system?
Hi Everyone,
We have 3 new VNX systems (2 x 5500, 1 x 5300), only one 5500 unit with blade enclosure comes with Control Station but the remaining two didn't have CS.
After reading through the Installation guide, i have a question - How can we initialize the VNX which didn't have CS, can we use single CS to initialize multiple VNX if they are in same management network.
Appreciate your help.
Thank you.

No, no !
If you have a Unified config (file+block) you will have (and need) controlstation(s).
If you have only a Block config you don't have and don't need a controlstation. Initialization is done via VNX Installation Toolbox. Use VNX Procedure Generator for details.

Before installing – find out what you bought or are supposed to install
A VNX block doesn’t have a control station or blade enclosures
It usually avoids problems to properly plan an installation – you’ll find manuals and checklists on Powerlink or support.emc.com
