IP Replicator steps
Hi All,
I am in the process of building a run book fora given customer environment. For this case I needed the precise steps for NAS failover and failback. I have the steps for failover and failback. But the steps i have for restarting the replication Main-> DR is from the GUI.
I do a # nas_replicate -start -reverse -overwrite_destination from the CLI of DR, and then press Reverse for the VDM and file system sessions. The first question is what is the equivalent of this reverse step in GUI.
Next question - if the customer decides not to retain the changes done at DR how can I failback, ignoring the changes carried out in DR.
Last question, what would be the steps if I switched over and need to retain some changes done at DR.
The IP replicator book is available but it is still a bit confusing. If any one of you have the patience to put down the steps for each type of operation. it will be much appreciated.
Regards,
Naleendra

Hi Jyothi,
Thanks for sharing the document.
One further question.
Let's say that I want to write the changes that occurred at DR back to DC upon switchover or fail over (for the step is the same ). Then I want start replication again from Main --> DR. Do I just go for the next step noted as an option, the"-reverse" exercise ?

Hi,
Then you can reverse the replication from the DR site.
Thanks
