Mirrorview/s in VNX
Has anyone sucessfully setup Mirrorview/s between two VNXs unified storages? I am trying to implement Mirrorview/s for block only but unable to get the 2nd VNX system added into the 1st one. There is no option to do this in Unisphere. There is a article saying that currently multi-domain management is not available. I am just trying to find out if there is any other way to add the 2nd system into 1st systems domain. Since this is Unified version, will it cause any connectivity issue with control station if the domain is reset?

Hi,
with VNX OE 7.0 you currently need to setup the MV connection with the CLI
see emc262013 in the knowledgebase for the exact steps.
Once that is configured you can do most of the other operations in the GUI.

P.S.: this will change in a future release to remove the need for CLI

Currently you need to use the CLI to setup the MirrorView connections – see Knowledgebase emc262013 for the steps

Thanks Rainer. I managed to configure the connection using CLI. I can create mirrorsets using GUI but cannot add secondary image. It is still complaining about 2nd storage not been managed via the Unisphere. I guess I'll have to do this via CLI as well. Hope the new version is released soon as customer is not going to be comfortable in using CLI for mirrorview operations. They are about to start testing full failover and failback and documenting it.
Appreciate your help. Any idea when the updated version will be released?
