NAS LUNs mobility using LUN Migration in Pool environment
Hi,
I read a lot primus and discussion about NAS LUN mobility and Block LUN Migration. If I have VNX5300 with 2 Pool and I want to migrate NAS LUNs from 1st to 2nd pool without downtime, could I use Lun Migration? Is it quite different from a legacy migration. I don't want expand or change Raid protection.

In general the lun migration option is best only for SAN based volumes (iscsi/FC). If you need to migrate NAS based luns depending on how they were created ie using AVM - it might require using something like VNX replicator to have the quickest and easiest move from one lun to another. LUN migrator can work but their are restrictions documented in emc144545 which also links to a couple of other primus notices.
