Overwrite a locked CIFS File

Is there a way to unlock a CIFS File so it can be overwritten with a new file version?  At this time, we can unlock the open files via Windows Computer Management GUI under Shared Folders/Open Files but we are looking for an alternate method for unlocking the files.  Possibly via script or EMC CIFS tool.
