Two questions about the utility partition
In the CX environment it was advised to load a new utilty partition each time we upgraded to a new family release. Today this recommendation is not mentioned within the procedure generator anymore.
My questions:
Do we still need to load the new family utility partition when upgrading to a new release? (example from rel 31 to rel 32)
How can we load a utility partition if we need a re-image a VNX? (assuming the VNX lost an SP and the error status of the VNX prohibits the USM from loading any software at all)
Thanks in advance,
Regards, Rob

Thanks Suman, the answer is helpful but it does not answer my question(s) even though the description of article 87768 is very extensive.
We know that if we run release 32, the utility partition in use should be the one of release 32 and not the one loaded under release 31.
Now suppose the following situation: We did an upgrade some time ago from release 31 to release 32 but forgot to load the new utility partition for release 32. (this is very common thing to forget in the field)
Now let's suppose we need to re-image SPB because this SP in in failure. The first thing to do now would be to load the release 32 utility partition on the surviving SP, that is SPA. We also know we cannot load anything using USM when USM detects any major issue on the VNX, override would not work here.
So again I raise my question how to load the new utility partition if my VNX is half broken?
