Hello Marc,

Are the drives that you inserted EMC drives or just general drives?

Hi,

How would I know that. They are SEagate 600gb  15K in a caddy that fit in the VNX. There's no EMC wrote on it.

thanks

Hello Marc,

Here is the link to EMC VNX5100 and VNX5300 Series Storage Systems Disk and OE Matrix. You will need to confirm that your drives are on the list.  If your drives are not then they will not work with your VNX5300.

Hello Marc,

You should get a login screen and you can create an account on there and it should let you view the KB once you are logged in as the KB is customer readable.  Here is a link to the account if you need it. https://dell.to/3lJ6sdC
