When you create a VMware storage in VNXe the integration software creates only VMFS-3 volumes at ESX side. Currently VMFS version 5 is still not available within the integration software. You can create a generic iSCSI volume and present it to ESX host. After that you need to manually add storage on vSphere to format it with VMFS5.

By default, the VNXe uses VMFS3 as file system type and a block size of 8MB when creating a VMware VMFS
datastore through the VNXe GUI. To create VMFS-5 datastore you need to delete the datastore that VNXe
created and recreate it using Add Storage option on host.
