Microphone not working
Hello.
I recently bought a Vostro 15 5510 i7 and I'm happy with it except that the microphone doesn't work.
I've tried everything to my knowledge but I can't get it to work. To my understanding the mic on this pc is Intel SST and I've heard these pc's sometimes have issues with this software.
Is there any solution to this or any way I can try getting it to work? I haven't found any drivers to SST except to NUC.

Hello Drake,
Kindly try below steps
Press the Windows + R key combination to open the Run box, Type mmsys.cpl and press Enter.
It will open sound window ,
Click on recording tab , make sure mic is set as default then double click default mic (with green tick) , in mic properties opens next , click levels tab and check if mic muted and also check if it is in maximum level

Hello.
These stuff was the first thing I tried, and didn't work.
One thing I have noticed though, the microphone selected usually have green bars showing what it records, and it goes up and down when you speak etc. But mine is fully green all the time. Never seen that before
