Realtek memory card reader driver update problem
The latest update for Realtek Memory Card Reader Driver (Realtek-Memory-Card-Reader-Driver_NPC2Y_WIN64_10.0.22621.31278_A01.EXE ) which I installed a couple of days ago does not work correctly and I had to do a system restore. Basically, explorer comes to an almost standstill when I try to access a memory card. It takes minutes to go through each stage of drilling down the directory of files on the card. Dell Support Assist then re-offers the same driver and I tried again with the same result - once! Any ideas?

I had a similar problem on my Alienware m17 R4.
Last week, I updated the driver through the SupportAssist tool and suddenly the drive icon with the micro-SD card was flashing in "This PC" in the File Explorer. Clicking on it brought nothing up. The drive itself wasn't showing up in the device/folder list on the left side of the File Explorer.
I rolled back the driver to the 10.0.19041.31264, A07 version and the problem went away.
