System won't recognize SSD

So I just bought a Vostro 14 3000 and decided to upgrade it's memory and storage with my old dell Latitude 5460 parts. I installed the RAM and the ssd. The RAM memory is fine but the m.2 ssd won't be recognized in the BIOS. Is it compatible? Is there a way for it to be recognized? Please, the hdd is really slow.

It's not possible to say without knowing the exact model numbers (the 3000 is a series of models with different specifications, and the Latitude 5460 doesn't appear to exist).  If it's an older M.2 SATA drive and a new Vostro, bear in mind most new systems won't work with M.2 SATA SSDs -- they run only M.2 NVMe/PCIe drives.
