Upgrading CPU for Dell Vostro 2420
Hi,
So I'm currently using an old Dell Vostro 2420 that was shipped with an i3-2348M. The PC performance is not good and I'm planning to upgrade the CPU to i5-3320M. I am not entirely sure if the CPU is compatible with the current motherboard and the current BIOS. Should I upgrade it? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Also I don't want to upgrade from HDD to SSD because I just want more FPS in game and not the disk speed.
My laptop specs:
Dell Vostro 2420 (Service Tag: removed)
CPU: Intel Core i3-2348M (2.3GHz)
Chipset: HM75 Express
Socket: rPGA988B
BIOS version: A12 (3/07/2014)
RAM: 3GB DDR3 bus 1600MHz
(English isn't my native language so I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes!)
