Vostro 7620 Thunderbolt issues

Vostro 7620

Vostro 7620

I'm having a heck of a time with my Brand New Vostro 7620 with my brand new Dell UD22 docking station and my Poly headset (replaced after the Computer thinking the old one was a goner) and using the USB dongle with my Keyboard and Mouse. I have since switched my Mouse and Keyboard over to Bluetooth and have not experienced any issues with them, but when I'm in Teams or Zoom meetings I'll be listening/talking away and a error message pops up "cannot detect hardware" and I loose sound and cannot speak. Unplugging and plugging in sometimes works but I usually have to restart the computer.

Dell has sent out a tech to replace the motherboard, this has not remedied the situation. They are trying to get me to remove all partitions, format and reinstall windows 11 Pro. My IT department doesnt think this will resolve the issue. they suspect its a bios issue with power supply to the thunderbolt port.

I have 2 Laptops that this is happeneing on, both have different docking stations and exact same problem. I have not started the repair work with the second Laptop, I want to see how this one will get fixed first.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
