Windows 11 up-grade failed due to processor issues

Can someone help please. I own a Dell-Laptop UDRMT4GT with an Intel Core i5-7200U CPU Processor. Unfortunately, Windows 11 request a better processor. Can I just change the processor or is this not possible? Installed RAM 8 GB.

It is not possible -- the CPU is soldered to the system board.

You need a newer system to run Win 11.

You don't need a newer computer to run Windows 11.  I'm running Window 11 on a 2012 vintage Latitude E6530 that has  3rd gen core i7.  It runs Windows 11 just fine.

What you need to do is bypass Windows 11 TPM and Secure Boot checks during the installation.  Tom's Hardware has a nice article about this here:

https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/bypass-windows-11-tpm-requirement

You could also us a program called Rufus to create the windows 11 installation thumb drive with the checks disabled, which allows you to avoid the registry edits.  Rufus can be downloaded here:

I've done it both ways and they work perfectly.

@ejn63 the Latitude E6530 has a socketed CPU. I have upgraded mine with an i7, 16 gig RAM, BD-RE drive, back-lit keyboard and 2 more USB 3.0 ports in the ExpressCard slot.

That is a much older system than the one asked about in this thread.  The i5-7200U does not exist in socketed form - it is BGA only.
