Migrating CIFS via VPLEX

Question

Currently I have a VNX5700 connected to a VPLEX local.  I will be adding a new VNX7600 to the same VPLEX local and performe a migration of the data.  My question is can CIFS be migrated using VPLEX data mobility without any impact to production?  Block level can.

To my knowledge no because VPLEX works only on a block level.

Yes just found out that only way you can do it using VPLEX is if the shares are presented off a server.  But if the cifs server is on a datamover than you cannot. For this the best solution is to use VNX Replicator, may need about 30mins of downtime to cutover.
