Can’t get rid of keyboard

Can anyone advise please. I’m using vWorkspace through my NHS employer. I’m using the new iPad Pro 11 inch. My issue is that I cannot get rid of the keyboard!! Every time I close it down, it pops straight back up again. This makes it impossible to use the software. The keyboard is always in the way!! I’m a community nurse and rely on this, so any advise greatly appreciated. Thanks Gemma
