Does the version of flash on the local client match the version on the VDI/RDS desktops?

Does the issue happen when you disable flash re-direction?

I've seen something "similar" when the versions of flash were different.

We have disabled Flash redirection 'cause it was giving to much problems.

If you use the exact same flashversion on the virtual desktop and client, it sometimes work, although on some flashwebsites it will lock the complete virtual desktop.

If the client at home doesn't have the correct flashversion installed (or no flash at all) he may see a black screen, or even a complete lock-up.

I don't understand why the quest-software can't check for right conditions, and tell the user about it. Like 'Hey your flash is incompatible, please upgrade'. Instead, it just tries to push the content until it locks.

Apologies for taking so long to reply, my profile here on communities was locked out due to a configuration issue.

We have disabled flash redirection completely.  The issue only seems to occur in IE when Flash ActiveX control is installed.  Uninstalling seems to solve the problem.

I have also started having serious problems with the flash redirection since upgrading to MR1...prior to that it worked flawlessly..pretty much everytime I setup a new client with the RDP connection and open IE, enable the flash plugin and hit something like youtube, Ie locks.

Unfortunately I am pretty much stuck killing the RDP connection on the local client, reconnecting to existing session and then immediately logging out of the RDP session.

After that I am able to connect again.

Methinks they introduced a bug in MR1 as I never had that problem with 7.1....

ive seen this too...but also in vWorkspace 7.1 ( pre MR1 )

vdi's - windows xp with ie8 - goto a flash website and it locks

Having the same problem on 7.1 (exact version 7.1.301.358).

When users browse sites with flash IE often hangs and it does not help to exit IE. I have confirmed flash versions on client and server (they match).

It helps to log off and on again.

Often it happens after a user is browsing from a flash heavy site to another.

Any suggestions?

This part is killing me too and I have only 30 users...tired of having to connect into the server, kill IE for that user, have the end user kill their RDP session and then re-connect...but I can't disable the flash because thats 3/4 of the point of moving to quest from standard Microsoft RDP...

7.2 can't come soon enough.

I'm now using the 7.2 RC1 and the flash redirection is working well... Have not had a crash yet, and I am trying as hard as I can to crash it.. 

It looks good for the RTM..

Anyone tried Flash with Firefox?  I think in 7.1 there is no flash redirection on FF even when flash is installed on the remote system.  Would love to hear it works with that as well.

I talked to support and confirmed that Flash redirection is not supported with Firefox yet.  How's everyone's experience with flash been since the release.  Got any sites that we know don't work or cause issues?
