One of our clients is having problems launching his VDI machine. This can happen, but I have never seen this error message.
First he gets this, which is normal ofcource:
And then:
Where is this message coming from, is this Quest or RDP?
The strange thing is that he gets this message on his office PC (Windows XP) as well as his home PC (Windows 7).
At home he has disabled his firewall and antivirus software, but still the same message. He also has a MAC at home. With his MAC he can connect to the same VDI machine without problems.
It's a generic MS message. Could have many causes, but one time we saw this it was related to our configuration of the web access portal. Ask Quest support for the settings for debugging the client (TSClientDebug) , which will allow you to view the file your connector gets from the website. That may help you to understand what goes wrong. In our case it was a name resolution issue.
I received the same error message on a particular application when using the internal proxy. This though goes away when on the AppPortal client i remove the proxy settings.
I do though receive the same error message as you have posted on another application as this application is only available through the SSL web portal via network restrictions.
