Session Timeout AppPortal

Hi There

Is there any possibility for a session timeout in AppPortal or is this only possible with webinterface?

Thanks

Marc

    Hi Marc,

What I've done in the past is setup a Thin Client with ThinShell.

The Thin Client was set to Autologin with generic credentials.

Thinshell would then launch and ask for vWorkspace Credentials.

After the User closed the Desktop that he'd launched through Thinshell, it would log out of the Thin Client automatically.

At this point, the Thin Client autologins with generic credentials and we loop back round again.

This way when someone finishes their work, after a few seconds the Thin Client is clean and waiting for the next user.

    Thanks, Andrew.

    Hello,

There is no session time out for AppPortal. You have to think that AppPortal acts just like any other Windows application on the user desktop, so you can think of what would you do to secure the user desktop. For example you can configure the destkop to automatically lock after certain amount of time. So what times out is the desktop rather than AppPortal

    Hello Jose

    Thanks for your reply.

i agree with you, on normal desktops there is no problem, after some minutes of inactivities the computer locks the screen.

but i like to use the app portal on windows embedded  thin clients (not web portal)

but also i don't wont that the user log on the thin client with his domain user account, so i can't lock the thinclient with password screensaver

    Kind Regards

    Marc
