I am doing some work right now in 7.1 lab and can tell you that through the console the version reported is 7.1.301.358. Just to be clear this is not MR1.
Actually, the console number is a reflection of the database number. MR1 does not update the database so that is why you don’t see a newer build numbers there. Add/Remove programs is the best bet in this case.
That's what's confusing me... the Add/Remove program version doesn't match the Console version.... and it shows the non-MR1 version number after installing MR1... Am I going mad?
You can perform the following to see if you have the latest vWorkspace 7.1 Maintenance Release 1 update applied.
If you go to the Add/Remove programs, and select the “Click here for support information.” It will display the Version installed. 7.1 MR1 will show as 7.1.369
Another way to tell if you have the vWorkspace 7.1 Maintenance Release 1 applied is to perform the following
Launch the vWorkspace Management Console
Click Help | About
Select “File Information” from the “About” Window
Check to see if any of the files display version 7.1.301.369
Also, after applying the vWorkspace 7.1 Maintenance Release 1, your vWorkspace management console will still display version 7.1.301.358. This is because the Maintenances Release 1 only updates some of the Core vWorkspace files.
You should goto Add/Remove Programs from there it should be Installed Update, you will see Base MRI. I know it does not show the version but it will at least show you if the MRI update has been installed.

I believe MR1 is build 7.1.301.369.
Checking Add/Remove programs is the easiest route.

The build nr in Add/Remove programs should show you if you installed MR1.

Most people use the console to check what version they are using so I hope we update it in future
