Update both headset and dongle firmware to match, then re-pair the dongle — your dongle’s probably not broken.

@smidude​ I Uninstalled the headset under sound and video game controllers restarted the reinstalled it registered correctly this time.  Just some weird glitch.  Firmware is up to date 4.1 on headset 3.0 on dongle per the support page.  Also there's no way to make the dangle and headset firmware "match"   since each has a different firmware number on support.
