When I start up my computer ( notebook Inspiron 640M), it gets stuck on a blue screen that only shows the Microsoft Windows XP symbol in the center of the screen. No error messages AT ALL. Only a blue screen. I have performed custom and express tests. I was told by tech support that it is not a hardware problem, it is a software problem. Trying to avoid paying for help on this issue. Hope someone can help.
