Boot problems with Windows7 and TrueCrypt 7.1

Hello Community

I have a Dell Latitude E6520 with the following system: Windwos 7 32bit. I installed TrueCrypt 7.1 and encrypted my whole hard drive. The problem now is when I start my laptop the screen stays black. Turn it in again and then the laptop will boot normally.

Can you help me?

Thank you ;-)

Obviously the whole drive encryption is the problem. Contact TrueCrypt and see if they have any suggestions.  It's not a "Dell problem" or a Windows 7/Microsoft problem.  The problem is caused by the added program and/or encrypting the entire drive.

Have you tried using Safe Mode by pressing F8 at the dell splash screen. But people do encrypt folders, I would has thought it would be the better option. Make sure you have the latest stable release, see HERE.

I don't think there is a problem with TrueCrypt or Windows7. On older Dell Latitude that software combination works very well.

The error only occurs with the newer Dell. I suspect it is a BIOS problem.

Also, TrueCrypt versions 6.2 do not work on the new Dell laptops.

Windows7 can be excluded as an error, since the problem occurs when booting. So far before the Windows startup.
