cannot install dell support program, error 2909

Question

i am running windows xp and all im trying to do is use the dell support tool,, when i try to dowload and install, i get an error 2909 and it closes.  when i try to use the online scan tool all it does is scan and nothing happens. dell doesnt seem to have any solution nor can i contact dell with out some premium fee.  im have searched and searched  dells site, and noting , i really need to the program to find updates and try to resolve some minor issues,  ill do it myself and wont bother dell with it , i just need some help with the programs i mentioned above,,, is that too much to ask from dell?

I understand your concern,where in I see that you are facing problem in Installing Dell™ Support software on your computer.I would like to know if your computer is installed with an older version of dell Support software and also I would like to know which version of Dell™ Support software you are trying to install.

Please find the updated version of Dell™ Support software in the link below.
