cannot install java on Win 10
Just got the brand new XPS 8910 with Win 10 preinstalled. I am attempting to install Java but I am not successful. I downloaded JavaSetup8u121 (sitting in my Downloads folder) but when I click on it, it asks me if I want this app do any changes .... After clicking on Yes nothing is happening.
Any help greatly appreciated

Are you saying I need to get rid of the Edge in order to install Java.
I have another Win 10 box (WIn 10 installed by me, without DELL configuration) and I did not have any problems with Java.

You don't have to get rid of Microsoft Edge browser. I'd suggest you open the Edge browser, click on the three dots . . .) on the top right side of page , stroll down to 'Open With Internet Explorer', and then click on it. You should be able to download/run Java in Internet Explorer 11.

Thanks for clear instruction, however my Open with Interne Explorer line, you are pointing to, is "greyed out".
My problem is not with downloading , but with installing . Java setup.... is sitting in my Downloads folder but when I click on it .
I try again and when I was asked if I want this app..... I clicked on details and open certificate plus checked all the tab. Suddenly Java started to install itself.
I think I am good

What To Do When Java Won't Install Windows 10?
Fix 1: Verify The Installation Error.
Fix 2: Remove All Prior Installations Of Java.
Fix 3: Install The Offline Installer Package.
Fix 4: Perform A Clean Boot And Then Install Java.
Fix 5: Try Microsoft Install And Uninstall Troubleshooter.
Fix 6: Disable Firewall Temporarily.
Greetings,
