Cannot select multiple files

Question

Today I was working as usual, and I noticed that I cannot selec multiple files on certain folder on Vista, you know hold down the click and then select all files i want to, or click on each one and press shift, and nothing I don't really remember if I was able to do it before, but I don't think so... This problem doens't happen on all the folders, happens on Documents folder, and the main folder (the one with the user name.... You should be able to press the ' Ctrl ' key then click on each file you want to select...   Or to select sequential files Hold down the ' Shift ' Key and then click the first file and then the last file, this should select those two and all the files between them. In any folder.   pcgeek11

That doesn't work, I've tried all the posible ways to do it click on the first item, then hold on shift and then click on the las item, also tried click on each file, and hold on Ctrl and click on each other file. I've also tried by going to Edit Menu and tried SELECT ALL option, but it's gray out, and cannot be selected....   It could be a Registry corruption ?????
