Card reader drivers for 1501

I have the inspiron 1501 with Vista Premium. I have never tried to use the card reader until today. I put in my sd card and it says windows has to install the drivers for this, but it couldnt find them. Where can I get the drivers so the card reader works? thanks

    Hi sharky17
I think your card reader is working right, it is the SD card driver that Vista is looking for.
I have the same PC as you for some reasion Vista can read some SD cards and not others .
all of my SD cards work for Vista but i have read where there is a big problem with some of the newer and older SD cards.
May help to know what the SD card is you are trying to use.

I did. Its not the card, Vista doesnt have the drivers and I do not know where to get them. I tried to put my cards in an sd usb reader and it couldnt find drivers for that either. I tried to plug in my camera and the wouldnt work either. Stupid Vista

    Hi sharky
If you go to control panel click on device manager
then to SD host adapters then click on + and see
SDA Standard Compliant SD host controller  your
driver is installed and your stuff you are trying to run
    will not work Vista.
If you do not see this
Then you have to download the driver for the host controller.
