control alt delete
when i hit control alt delete it should bring up all of my current running programs but when I do this i only get a window with my name and two options - diconnect or logoff. how do i see the current running programs which would allow me to shut some of them down in order to make the computer run faster.....
thanks,

If the system is clean, Task Manager may not be enabled. Go to this link and copy/paste the entire text into Notepad. Save the file as task.reg on your desktop.
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/taskmanager.reg
Log off the net, close all open apps and manually set a System Restore point, just to be safe. Then double-click on task.reg and allow it to modify your registry. Reboot when it's done.
Fixed?
