I tried the suggested method and got stuck at the "We can't connect at the moment" message, so I'll have to find a new key before trying again. I'll post back here if I get it working.
I find it amazing that there isn't a more 'by the book' way to do it.
You're welcome, you are not alone in wanting a more by the book way of doing things. I have brought these issues up on IdeaStorm in 2011. I also brought them up when Windows 8.0 was released and again when Windows 8.1 was released. It seems the .iso is needed to fix multiple issues with Windows 8.1 Update 1 also. I have also tried to ask for help in Windows EightForums and Microsoft Answers and it appears I am banned from both forums as Microsoft/some of MVPs don't like my workarounds.
I haven't got much help mainly because Microsoft has put all users in the same boat, my guides incorporate the only way I have found to fix these issues.
