Dell Premier Color No Longer Working (XPS 15 9550 4K Display)

Dell Premier Color Software Application is no longer working after Windows 10 Anniversary Update.  Is it just me?  XPS 15 9550 4K Display.  Frustrating not being able to change color profile.

DELL-Binh C  - Has this problem been resolved yet?  I can't get the Dell Premier application to even launch.  It just sits in my tray doing nothing.

It is still not working and no answers from Dell. This should be an easy compatibility fix.

I have the same problem, new XPS 9550 system with all the latest updates. I don't think downgrading to older drivers is an acceptable work around. Any updates on a fix with the latest drivers?

Just received my XPS 15 4K machine and downloaded Dell Premier which worked great until I updated Windows 10. Now I have the same problem as everyone else with this program. The problem has been around several months now with no sign that Dell is doing anything to solve the issue. This program is a must for my photo editing hobby and I am getting ready to send this machine back and get a Mac. Lots of promises to customers promising a fix, but no updates on any progress. Very disappointing!

Update: I recently received this e mail from Dell. Apparently, there will be no fix.

"This email is about your recent email conversation with Dell Technical Support about the issue you were facing with the system.

I think you are referring to the true color software as Dell premier color is a technology but not a software. True color software is not compatible with Windows 10 as win 10 has its own picture enhancing techniques. So request you to use the built in features of Windows 10 to access the Color Spaces."

It works just fine with the Win10 Anniversary update as well as long as you use the Nvidia driver from Dell support site. As soon as you update the driver the PremierColor app starts to crash.

But indeed you can change the color spaces from regular display settings.

Hi

I had the same problem,  but the last update of windows (KB3201845) fix dell premier color and it is back !

No such luck for me.  Have latest windows 10 update (KB3201845) but dell premier color still doesn't work on my XPS 15 9550.  I even tried updating to the latest BIOS and video drivers (both intel and nvidia) but still no dice.  Will be reverting back to old intel driver (Intel HD Graphics driver version 20.19.15.4331) or old BIOS (1.2.0 A06) to fix screen flicker issues on XPS 15. Dell really needs to get their act together.

EDIT:  reverting back to older intel driver to fix flickering issue on XPS 15 9550 caused dell premier color profiles to all render with eye bleed saturation.  Needed to upgrade to the latest intel driver and revert back to BIOS 1.2.0 A06 to fix screen flickr issues on XPS 15 9550. Looks like if you have the XPS 15 9550 and want to use the dell premier color profiles (via right click on desktop) you are stuck with BIOS 1.2.0 A06 to fix screen flickering issues.

Hello Ronnie14,

I also purchased a Precision 5510 recently and have observed the exact same red tint issue as you move a bit off from the front viewing angles. It is especially more significant with black backgrounds and darker surroundings. It worsens as you increase the screen brightness. It seems to be a kind of light bleeding from the edges. This is totally unacceptable as the 4K display is supposed to be of very high quality for the price I paid for the top end config!

Have you found any solution?

Thanks

This link worked for me.  I updated the graphics driver, but that did not work. I then followed by updating the dell premier color application, and now it works.
