dimension 8100 drivers missing
Hi,
I have an old dimension 8100 desktop which shipped with Windows ME and an upgrade to Windows XP. With the upgrade to XP, it came with an updated drivers disc. On the dell support website, dell continued to post newer drivers for windows xp and I didn't download and save these since I thought they would be kept online for some time. Well, now I have to do a clean install and figured it would be best to use those XP drivers posted online from Dell support rather than older ones on the disc I have. But those drivers are missing now. They only have windows ME and 2000 as the newest OS's. Does anyone know what happened to the XP drivers? This desktop used to be fully supported by Dell for use with XP.

You can call them and see what they say.
you can also install Belarc Advisor which then will tell you what components you have, then you can go each of those component's websites and download the xp drivers from them.
for example you got an ati video card, go to ati's site and download the xp drivers from there.
