Drivers for Insipron 15R with Switchable graphics. WORKING ONES!!!! WHEN ARE THEY OUT!?!

Hello

I have TWO of these machines and am disgusted that there is no working driver which recognizes and successfully controls the switchable graphics on them.  I have bought no less that a dozen Dell machines, however if this problem isn't quickly resolved I will not buy Dell again.

I rechecked today with Assassin's Creed III (the only game I have) on Windows 7 and the graphic is lagging in 1080 and normal settings. The game is not smooth. I don't know how to check what is my actual frame rate. The screen does flash black a couple of times while starting the game like if the GPU is initializing. The graphic is smoother in 720.

I have Dell 7520 15R SE with AMD Radeon HD 7730M graphic card and i7 3.1GHz.

Dear Dell team,

I have just bought a DELL system 15R also but how can i know my system got Dynamic switchable graphic or just switchable graphic only? How can i turn on this function on my system? And how can i know it's already installed or not?

My friend have plan to buy a DELL system but we also dont know which DELL laptop (Inspirion, Vostro, Xps) are supporting AMD Dynamic switchable graphic. Can you help me on this?

Hi shourov,

I would suggest you to completely uninstall and reinstall both display drivers. You may follow the steps below:

  • Press ‘Windows’ key + R on ‘Desktop’ screen.
  • Type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in run box and press ‘Enter’.
  • Click > sign next to ‘Display Adapters’.
  • Right click the entry listed under ‘Display Adapters’ and click ‘uninstall’.
  • Reinstall the Intel driver first and then the AMD driver.
  • You may download and install the latest drivers from the links below:

Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist further.

Hello,

Have a look at the following subject: "Radeon HD6470M working slowly on Dell N5110". Apparently, the image preinstalled in the factory isn't perfect. Reinstalling everything did the trick for me

Hey,

If you;re having problems with your graphics drivers, have a look at http://leshcatlabs.net/category/unifl/

The drivers here are updated regularly.

Have a look at the manual before installing the drivers http://leshcatlabs.net/manual/

It worked for me and games now work considerably better, laptop works at lower temperatures because the drivers have been updated.

Regards,

Varun
