Emergency Boot Diskett

I should not have read Hextar's Thread on" Windows has detected a registry\configeration error."  I ask myself the question, Do I have a Emergency Boot  Diskett as referred to in Denny Denham's answer?

I have ME.  I made a startup dise using the Add-remove Program-Start Up disk.  Is the same as the Emergency Boot Diskett referred to by  Denny Denham?

Is it the same as the Emergency Disk referred to in Symantec Norton antivirus 2003 User's Guide on page 22.

If not, How do I make a Emergency Boot Diskett?

T Morris,

The emergency boot diskette you make in Add/Remove Programs provides the same functions as any of the boot disks you can download from various Internet sites. They may differ slightly in some of the files they contain but their core group of files will be the same.

Denny Denham:  thanks for the information.  The Dell Community Forum has become my "Tech Support."  Maybe Old Retired Men shouldn't have computers but they are fun and now I can find out a lot of answers to a lot of my questions.  This is my first computer and I am doing O.K.  Thanks again.  T Morris
