HURRAH!! Thank you Rebel9.  It worked with just the Enter key; so close and yet so far!  I am forever grateful to you.

 " The system could not be restarted from its previous location due to read failure.  Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu. "
 
All this means is that the Hibernation data is corrupted and the system cannot use this data to startup. And then asks the question do you want to delete this restoration data and then proceed to boot normally.
