From windows explorer if you go into Tools > Folder Options > File Types sort the list by files type and find Folder(
not File Folder) the extension will be N/A, click on the advanced button and change the default action to explore instead of open.
I much prefer browsing my windows with the folders open on one side, and the contents of the selected folder highlighted on the other side. I can get to this view by right-clicking and choosing Explore instead of just double-clicking on in to Open it, but is there any way I can change the default view to Explore when I double-click?
When I right click a folder and pick Open, it has exactly the same effect if I right click and pick Explore. I wonder why.
